On March 28, 2025, a powerful earthquake with a magnitude of 7.7 struck central Myanmar, causing significant damage and loss of life. The tremors were felt across several regions, including Thailand, leading to various impacts.

The earthquake's tremors were felt in various parts of Thailand, including king thai 168 Bangkok and Chiang Mai. In Bangkok, several high-rise buildings experienced structural damage, and there were reports of injuries and fatalities due to building collapses. The Thai Meteorological Department reported numerous aftershocks following the initial quake.
