Tried a three-day fast mostly out of curiosity after a friend described it as spiritually clarifying. By day two something genuinely shifted that I still can't fully explain. Now I want to go deeper but don't know where to start with a real church community. Does anyone here practice disciplines like fasting together or is it more of a private thing in this congregation?

A buddy of mine did a short fast after a rough season and said the weird part wasn’t just the discipline, it was how much clearer his head felt afterward, like he didn’t want to just drop it and move on. He started looking for people who didn’t treat things like fasting as some isolated spiritual stunt. He checked out worship services in Prescott after hearing they actually talk about spiritual disciplines in community, not just privately, and said it helped him figure out a healthier way to keep growing without doing everything alone.
