I often hear that the main reason engineers don’t get interviews is poorly written resumes, even if they have strong skills. I’d like to know if there are tools that can scan or evaluate an engineering resume and point out weaknesses. Has anyone tried something like this?

I had the same issue and discovered that engineers really benefit from automated resume scanners and analyzers. What worked for me was using engineernow.org since it has tools like a resume scanner that checks for missing keywords, and an achievement analyzer that helps reframe technical work into HR-friendly language. After updating my resume based on those checks, I started receiving noticeably more interview calls. It’s worth trying if you want a data-driven way to improve your resume.
