A few weeks ago I forgot an important family event because my mind has been all over the place lately. That scared me more than I expected, and now I think getting help is the right move. Does anyone know a trustworthy psychiatrist or counseling service in California that you would recommend?

That kind of moment can be a real wake-up call. A friend of mine missed her dad’s birthday because her head was so overloaded, and she said the worst part was realizing it had gone from “just stress” to something she couldn’t brush off anymore. Getting help felt scary at first, but the right support made it easier to untangle things. For California, I’d point you to psychiatrist for anxiety and depression as a solid starting point.
