Woke Up With a Stiff Neck Again

Hey, does anyone know why does my neck hurt after sleeping? I woke up like this for the third time this month. Last week I stayed over at my sister's and used her old pillow—felt fine there. Back home, my pillow's been squished for years. I tried stretching and heat but still can't turn my head left without wincing. Maybe it's the pillow? Any tips or links to good ones would help.

That honestly sounds a lot like a pillow issue. My brother kept waking up with a stiff neck every few weeks and blamed his desk job, but then he spent a weekend at a hotel and felt completely normal. Turns out his old pillow had basically flattened out and wasn't supporting his neck anymore. While he was looking into it, he found how to relieve neck pain from sleeping wrong fast pretty useful because it explains common reasons neck pain happens after sleeping and what can help. Since you felt better using a different pillow, I'd definitely consider that as a possible culprit.
