porous-ceramic-filter-product uses 99.99% argon or nitrogen as the degassing medium to remove aluminum slag and hydrogen from molten aluminum.

working principle

After the silicon nitride rotor of the porous-ceramic-filter-product is placed in the aluminum liquid, the metered inert gas is pressed into the aluminum liquid and dispersed into tiny bubbles, so that the gas partial pressure of the bubbles is evenly dispersed in the molten metal is zero.

Due to the high partial pressure of hydrogen in the molten aluminum, the hydrogen in the molten aluminum continuously diffuses into the bubbles, and the non-metallic inclusions in the molten aluminum are adsorbed on the surface of the bubbles.

Useless hydrogen and inert gas bubbles adhered to non-metallic inclusions float up to the liquid surface to achieve the goal of removing hydrogen and oxidizing inclusions by skimming.

The equipment is equipped with an online molten aluminum temperature measuring device, which can understand the change of the molten aluminum temperature during degassing so that the operator can understand whether the molten aluminum meets the casting temperature requirements.

Many by-products are produced in the process of aluminum smelting and forming.

As the main by-product of the aluminum industry, aluminum ash is produced in all processes where aluminum is melted, and its aluminum content accounts for about 1-12% of the total loss during aluminum production and use.

In the past, people regarded aluminum slag as waste slag and dumped it. This not only caused a waste of aluminum resources but also brought environmental problems.

During the smelting process of cast aluminum alloy, the porous-ceramic-filter-product can remove a large amount of hydrogen in molten aluminum.

When molten aluminum solidifies at 660°C, the solubility of the hydrogen will drop sharply.

Due to the fast cooling rate and the low temperature of the melt, hydrogen cannot escape from the solidified aluminum.

The hydrogen remaining in the castings can form casting defects such as pinholes and looseness.

Therefore, when purifying the cast aluminum alloy melt (also known as refining), the gas and inclusions in the melt must be removed.
