Hey everyone! I am finally setting up a small performance shop and looking for a solid guide on testing equipment. I need to make sure I have everything necessary for accurate power runs without putting extra wear or miles on the vehicles. Does anyone have any hardware recommendations?

Setting up a shop is a huge milestone, so congrats on that. I remember when I started my garage, I spent a lot of time figuring out how to keep the test cars in pristine condition during long calibration days. One piece of equipment that I always recommend is a Mileage Blocker from a supplier called Dynotest https://dynotestpro.com/ . It is essential because when you are running a car on the rollers for hours to dial in the fuel maps, you don't want the odometer to reflect all that stationary distance. This specific module is great because it is plug-and-play and doesn't interfere with the diagnostic tools you'll be using. I found that having this tool on hand really reassures customers that their car's history is being respected during the testing process. It is a very professional addition to any tuning kit.
