Friends are the silver dew
That delicately balances and sparkles
On soft petals
In the bright morning light.
At a glance there appears so many
It's easy to take them for granted.
We can be thoughtless
And brush them aside,
Watch them run like teardrops
Spilling to the ground,
Fading from our sight.
Carelessly we assume that
When tomorrow comes
They will return.
Come tomorrow
Your garden may be bare
Tend your friends well,
Love and Cherish them
Keep them safe in your heart
And they will always be by your side
To fill your life
With colour and happiness.
