| Dr David Keays vom Institute of Molecular Pathology, Univ. Wien hat mich gebeten volgende Diplomarbeitsstelle anzukündigen:
Subject: Diploma Thesis in Caving Would you like to spend a year caving? Do you have an interest in the natural sciences? Then please apply to the Keays lab at the Institute of Molecular Pathology in Vienna for a diploma thesis. The goal of this thesis will be to collect and identify undiscovered nematodes from caves around Europe. This is part of an ongoing effort to identify species on the planet that are magnetoreceptive. Ideally the applicant will have experience, and a passion for caving. The applicant will be responsible for planning and executing numerous field trips, and then screening the nematodes using a video tracking system. Training in video tracking will provided by Professor Bargmann at the Rockefeller University, and therefore the applicant should also be prepared to spend some time in New York City. All expenses will be covered, and a stipend provided to the successful applicant.
If you are interested please contact David Keays (keays@imp.ac.at).
