| To provide a useful description of a suspicious vehicle, it is most important to trust your instincts and make note of as many details as possible. The Citizens’ Crime Watch of Miami-Dade County, Florida, recommends reporting the following information for a full description:
Color, make and year. Body type – sedan, two-door, convertible, sport utility vehicle. License number – specify state. Other unique elements – exterior attachments, damage, bumper stickers, window decals, etc. For example: A black, late model Plymouth, four-door sedan; Florida license number ABC 333; large dent on rear passenger door; and Florida Marlins decal on rear window.
In the event of a moving vehicle, do your best to make note of as much information as possible, including the direction of travel. Be sure to include details you notice about the driver and passengers, as well.
